This type of tangerine known as “Clementines” is one of the oldest citrus fruit varieties. The tree of this tangerine is medium vigour, with narrow leaves of an intense green colour. Its clementines are small and medium. Clementines tend to be smaller than tangerines and are seedless, although in common with all clementines and tangerines, they can occasionally contain induced seeds as a result of the flowers being pollinated by bees transporting pollen from other compatible varieties. The flavour of clementines is also sweeter than that of other tangerine varieties. The peel is smooth and glossy and they are easy to peel.
